The Art of HVT DVD

Osteopathy has come a long way in the last 100 years, with the development of cranial, MET, counter strain, inhibition and visceral techniques. All of which enhance the ‘tool box’ of techniques the Osteopath can draw on, thereby making Osteopathy one of the foremost primary healthcare systems today. In fact Osteopathy has developed so quickly in recent years would the likes of Still, Littlejohn & Hall recognize the profession they helped to found and develop?

This DVD is dedicated to the founding fathers of the Osteopathic profession who used their manipulative skills to great effect, but over the passage of time perhaps they are not used as much as they once were. Hence the following osteopathic techniques are dedicated to the science, art and intuitive skill of Osteopathic manipulation. Watch the clip, then buy the DVD.

David Lintonbon is very well respected in the osteopathic field for his work. David has been instrumental in teaching students of osteopathy and practitioners of osteopathy in the science (and art) of osteopathic manipulative techniques both in the UK and abroad. In this book he uses his extensive teaching and clinical experiences to guide the reader through their learning and development of ideas and techniques. The book is illustrated throughout with high quality pictures showing technique positions and clear and understandable descriptions. The book is designed for students of osteopathy (but would be equally valuable to student chiropractors and physiotherapists) and should be an essential core book for study. As a teacher of osteopathic technique (and a former student of his at The British School of Osteopathy) I would highly recommend this book to anyone in the field of osteopathy and manipulative therapies.

The Art of HVT is a great video. I utilize a similar technique but typically don’t lift the head. Perhaps only to introduce a bit of sidebending.

The Art of HVT is a great video! I think we’re lucky to have have your lessons in Italy at the centre for research, education and study of osteopath (CRESO)! Thank you!

I have received the DVD with the theme “The art of HVT”, and I am very happy with the purchase. As a student of osteopathy I am always trying to find new ways to improve my knowledge. The explanations you give of the osteopathic manipulative techniques are excellent, they are very precise and direct to the point. Exactly what a student needs, thank you very much for your work. In the letter accompanying the DVD you have offered to send via email the written notes regarding the art of HVT DVD. I definitely want to receive that information, if they are half the quality of the DVD, they will be priceless!
